Prior to starting his own business Peter’s career has focused primarily on the gear manufacturing industry. Following a five-year mechanical engineering apprenticeship at Spencer Gears Ltd, a subcontract gear manufacturer, his initial technical knowledge and experiences were gained by working in the ‘hands-on’ areas of technical and production engineering for the same company, and production management at Staffs Silent Gear Ltd.
This background subsequently provided the means for further career development into technical sales and latterly senior sales and business management, in both consumable and capital equipment markets, working for a number of the respected names in the industry, namely:
Gleason – Tooling Sales Manager Northern Europe
Samputensili – UK Managing Director
Mikron – Product Manager - UK
Fette – Technical Sales Engineer
These roles, in addition to enhancing his business knowledge, have also provided valuable experiences of working with other business cultures. More recently he has conducted sales and technical support visits to other EU countries and Turkey and has evaluated sales methods used in the USA to those in the UK. |
